Showbox Presents
Thunderpussy x Mike McCready
with Special Guests

Artist Information
Seattle, WA – December 11, 2025 – Seattle’s tradition of collaboration continues December 11,
2025, when Thunderpussy shares the stage with Mike McCready of Pearl Jam at The
Showbox, with additional guests to be announced.
Thunderpussy first crossed paths with McCready at the Sasquatch! Music Festival in 2016 after
the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee caught the band’s mainstage set. McCready introduced
himself backstage after the show, an encounter that sparked a lasting connection.
Soon after, Thunderpussy recorded their first-ever songs, “Velvet Noose” and “No Heaven,”
in McCready’s home studio. Co-produced by McCready, the tracks were released on his label
HockeyTalkter Records, igniting the band’s already explosive trajectory into the Seattle scene.
Since then, Thunderpussy have released two full-length albums — their self-titled debut
Thunderpussy and 2024’s West — along with multiple EPs, cementing them as one of Seattle’s
most beloved bands.
The two titans of Seattle music have shared stages at countless charity concerts and impromptu
jam sessions, showcasing a chemistry that feels both raw and effortless. But on December 11th,
they’ll share the stage again their first-ever club show as co-headliners.
“Seattle has always been about bands lifting each other up, about collaboration over
competition,” said McCready. “Thunderpussy represents that same fire and energy that I fell in
love with when I first started playing music here. To share a stage with them again, in our
hometown, is going to be electric.”
Thunderpussy echoed the sentiment: “Playing with Mike isn’t just about the music, it’s about
honoring Seattle’s legacy and continuing to write its future. We’re bringing everything we’ve got
to this night.”
Additionally, today Thunderpussy also announced Live at the Troubadour, a new EP captured
during their winter tour in support of their latest album West, to be released October 31st
exclusively on Bandcamp. The release showcases the band’s electrifying live energy while also
highlighting a new dimension of their sound: several songs feature string arrangements first
created for their sold-out performance with the Seattle Symphony at Benaroya Hall last spring,
performed at the legendary Los Angeles venue with an accompanying string quartet.
