Health Policy Information
-
The Showbox and Showbox SoDo will continue to follow all King County and Washington State public health mandates.

-
Where can I park?
-
The Showbox and Showbox SoDo do NOT have public parking available. There are several pay lots nearby (and street parking, if you're lucky!).
-
What is your photo policy?
-
Our standard photo policy is point-and-shoot and non-professional cameras (no detachable lens or SLR-type digital) only. Typically, no pro rigs or audio/video devices are allowed. However, we always defer to the band's policy on cameras and audio/video devices, which means these restrictions may be lifted or strengthened (i.e. no cameras allowed in any form!). We do not know the photo policy for a specific show until the day of the event. Coat check is available for items that are restricted.
-
I lost my ID/Credit card. What do I do now?
-
You can obtain a left-behind or lost credit card/ID from The Showbox Box Office, open Monday-Friday 10am-5pm. Remember to bring valid identification so we can release the card to you. We cannot release ID's or credit cards to your friends, spouses, or family members.
To obtain an ID lost at Showbox SoDo or the Sodo Lounge, email showbox.questions@gmail.com to arrange for pick-up. Remember to bring valid identification so we can release the card to you. We cannot release ID's or credit cards to your friends, spouses, or family members.
-
What is your ID policy for entering the bar areas?
-
According to Washington State law, only patrons age 21 or older may enter alcohol service areas at the venue. The only acceptable forms of identification for proof of age are:
- Driver's License from any US State or Province of Canada
- Identification Card from any US State or Providence of Canada
- US Military Active Service or Dependent ID
- Merchant Marine Card
- Official International Passport issued by any nation
- Current Temporary WA State Driver's License or ID card
- Current federally-recognized WA State Tribal ID (currently: Nisqually, Suquamish, Puyallup, Snoqualmie, Nooksack, Chehalis, Muckleshoot, Tulalip
Please note that all ID's must show date of birth, signature (except military ID's), photograph of bearer, and expiration date. If any information on the ID is missing or obscured for any reason, it is invalid. Permanent resident cards and ID cards issued by US Territories do not fall under the categories above and are not considered valid.
The Showbox venues are required by the Washington State Liquor Control Board to take IDs that are believed to be fake or in the wrong person's hands. After an illegal ID has been confiscated, it will not be returned. If your ID was taken, but it ACTUALLY WAS YOU (!!!), then you should get an ID that accurately matches your appearance and/or signature.

Why aren't all your shows all ages??? What gives?!
-
Due to government restrictions on all-ages crowds and serving alcohol, the insurance and security costs of producing an all-ages event are extremely high. We love to do all ages shows, and we do them when applicable, but unfortunately we'd never survive if every show was all ages.
-
Is there seating? What does the seat number on my ticket mean?
-
The Showbox and Showbox SoDo are general-admission venues. In almost all cases, the main floor is standing room only. There is seating in the bar area, and it's first come, first serve.
-
I require ADA seating and need to make special arrangements for an upcoming show. What do I do?
-
Our venues meet ADA guidelines and are fully accessible. If you are a person with a permanent disability, please purchase an accessible ticket through AXS.com. If accessible tickets are sold out for your event, please purchase a general admission ticket and notify security of your needs upon approval. We cannot guarantee seating, but we will do our best to accommodate. If this does not answer your question, please contact us.
-
How do I get my tickets that are held at "will call" for Showbox shows?
-
Will call tickets are available for pick-up at The Showbox Box Office or the Showbox SoDo Box Office on the night of the show.
To pick up your tickets, bring valid photo ID of the person whose name is on the order.
Will call tickets may not be picked up prior to night of show.
The Showbox’s Box Office opens at scheduled door time.
Showbox SoDo’s Box Office opens 1 hour before scheduled door time.

-

-
What CAN'T I bring into the venue?
-
- No food, beverages, or beverage containers (including re-usable water bottles). Discovery of outside alcohol will result in immediate ejection from the venue.
- No backpacks or large bags (larger than 16" by 16" x 8")
- No sharpies or markers.
- No weapons (even with a concealed weapons permit), chains, pocket knives and Leatherman-style or Swiss Army-style tools, or objects security and performers/tour personnel think could possibly be used as a weapon.
- No non-labeled/improperly-packaged prescription drugs or eye drops (non-prescription or prescription). Discovery of illegal drugs will result in immediate ejection from the venue.
- The policy for cameras and audio/video recording devices varies by event. Typically, non-professional cameras (point-and-shoot cameras without a detachable lens, or camera phones) are allowed, but we comply with the artist/tour policy for each event, and larger cameras or audio/video devices may be allowed on select shows. Other artists/tours may prohibit any cameras or recording devices altogether. Please email questions@showboxonline.com if you have questions about the policy for a particular event.
- Hydration packs (i.e. Camelbaks)
-
Can I buy a backstage pass?
-
No, we do not have access to backstage passes. These passes are very limited and are provided by radio stations, fan clubs or artist management. They are never for sale!
-
Are children admitted free?
-
Children 2 and under are admitted free with a paid adult ticket. This applies to All Ages shows only. No children will be allowed to 21+ events.
-
What's the fastest way to get in the door for a show?
-
If you're 21 years of age or older, we welcome patrons in first who purchase food or drinks in Kerns Music Shop (our lounge space at The Showbox, just off the lobby) or the Showbox SoDo Lounge prior to a show. Both open one hour before door time. If you're under 21, we apologize for leaving you out in the cold/rain/blistering heat. But you won't be underage forever, we promise.
-
The show was canceled, can I get a refund?
-
Ticket refunds are available at point of purchase. The box office can ONLY refund tickets that were actually purchased there.
-
I bought a ticket from a third party seller (craigslist, ebay, etc.). How do I know if it's valid?
-
The Showbox venues are unable to verify or guarantee the authenticity of tickets not purchased directly through an authorized sales channel (i.e. Showbox box office, AXS.com, or StubHub.com). For this reason, and because we are unable to provide any information regarding ticket purchases to a party other than the cardholder on the order, we do not recommend purchasing tickets from third-party resellers.
-
Is there a dress code?
-
- Shirts, shoes, and pants/shorts/skirts/dresses are required at all times.
- No exposed underwear or bikini/tops/bottoms allowed.
- Tops, bottoms and shoes are required for both men and women. No spikes allowed.
- Hydration packs (i.e. Camelbaks) are not allowed.
