It’s 2026 and Wolf Parade have never been hotter. The widespread cultural impact of the 2025 TV show Heated Rivalry introduced the album’s single “I’ll Believe in Anything” to a vast new worldwide audience, making the song a bona fide viral hit. Since December 2025, the song has streamed more than 40 million times; prior to the show, the song had streamed 21 million times in total since it's 2005 release. The band now has almost 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, a significant increase since the show aired.
Wolf Parade was founded in 2003 in Montreal, Quebec. After a pair of self-titled EPs, the band - Hadji Bakara (electronic manipulations), Dan Boeckner (guitar, vocals), Spencer Krug (keyboards, vocals), Arlen Thompson (drums) - released Apologies to the Queen Mary to widespread acclaim in September, 2005. The album was recorded by Modest Mouse frontman Isaac Brock.
The band followed Apologies with 2008's At Mount Zoomer and Expo 86 (2010). After a hiatus, Wolf Parade came back with Cry Cry Cry (2017) and Thin Mind (2020).
